This was food for thought. I wanted to share with you that your 1200 word lead up was awesome! And then just a picture of you with the birds flying! I actually lol’d! Not just saying it. So do I condone it… it’s not for me to judge, but I would be easy on yourself. You could’ve done worse and plenty of people do. Anyway, your reflection on this was very wise and helpful to me. So, I thank you for that…. BUT I also thank you for the joy that moment gave to me, and I’m sure that moment gave JOY to others.
Brett! Hey friend! I accept and appreciate the LOL. I dont' blame you. There is a degree of absurdity to it that understandably would elicit such a reaction, 🤣. Alas, such as it is. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you my brother for sharing your humanity! I think that is what happened to the apostle Paul when he left Corinth (Acts 18:6). He seems to have lost his patience... but praise God HE is much more patient than Paul (or any of us) and He sent dear Apollos to finish the work there until Apollos (Acts 18:28) 'convinced the Jews that Jesus was the Christ! (The literal meaning being he 'knocked them out!"
Take courage my friend, you are still loved by God and many brothers! Thanks for teaching how to be humble and sorry among other things! Much love and a big hug from Italy!
I was a part of this year’s “peace wall”. A group of Christians who stood between the hecklers and the pride folks. We endured hours of their hatred. Honestly, it became tedious. I can see exactly where your reaction came from. ❤️
Colby you are a good man. Recognizing the impact of our actions and the overt messages and confusion they might cause is maturity. We all get angry when we see dehumanizing behavior. At that moment emotions took over. You couldn’t honk your horn like you said to drown them out so your body used its resources to act. Wrong action but motivated by a need to counter what you saw as harm. It is harmful. When our beliefs dehumanize another group of people then we really need to question those beliefs. I don’t think it’s free speech to dehumanize others. It’s just hate for what you don’t understand. Love you brother.

Love how you connected it to the story from Acts 18, thanks for that! And thanks for the kind words here.

Wow, that sounds intense. Well done, Jaye.
I get it, that reaction. I do a version of that gesture, internally, daily.
And "internally" is probably where it ought stay 🫣
Thanks for sharing :)

Awww thanks Kev. Your grace and kindness are gifts.
Thank you for the honest reflection. I find it very refreshing and believe to be a strong characteristic of good leadership.
Thanks Ken! Your encouragement is well received.
I love the humility seen in hearing someone say “I was wrong.” That is evidence of the work of grace. What a great case study in personal growth. 🫶🏼
